The Russians had never seen Alpaca previously, and were very interested in Alpaca, especially when we able to demonstrate the guarding ability for sheep and goat flocks.
They could not understand though that we do not eat Alpaca.
We did explain there is a very small interest in eating Alpaca in Australia, although there has been research being done in alpaca cuts etc.
On the same hand, the Russians, were very interested in looking into breeding alpaca in the future.
