What do I like best about the Alpaca industry

I think if i look at wehat this Industry, and think why i love this industry so much...
(although these two photos of myself were taken within days of what could have been the last days of my life, but thanks to a doctor in Cuzco).
there has been so many opportunities.
What Opportunities?
The opportunity of being able to show my fullest potential.
To be able to contribute to the family income, and still was able to stay home for the kids.
This industry has given us a great lifestyle, where we can appreciate everything around us.
i love the fleece, and in the early days of alpaca farming i enjoyed spinning and knitting.
I have had opportunities to travel many countries through out the world.
I appreciate History, Alpacas has taught me many things about the Incas and Mia societies, and to visit Micchu Pichu, although i just stayed at the entrance part, as i just got too weak, ( later learnt that i possibly had a heart attack here). to experience different ways of life, and meet some fabulous people.
I have the opportunity to now go into exporting, which also has opened many doors for me.
I really appreciate this industry and what it holds for us all.
Sheep for Russia

.jpg)
Wow, these sheep are gorgeous, all averaging between 60 - 85 kgs, and all umnder 12 months old would you believe, from someof the best bloodlines in the world.
Having a quarantine facility, gives you the opportunity to see the best in each species.
These guys are destined for Mineralnye Vodi in Geoirgia, far west of Russia.
We also have 1 saanan buck in this group.
They are all so well behaved and love when it is feed time.
They all run as a group. so tight, they like their bodies to touch each other, unlike alpacas, who do run as a herd, but as individuals.
These guys huddle together when it is time to go to sleep, and again like their bodies to touch for security.
They are gorgeous. but boy can they eat.
1 round bale in a lush green paddock, would feed 20 alpacas for at least 1 month.
4 round bales with 100 sheep, in a very lush paddock, will feed these guys for a day!!! and plus pellets.
Alpacas are sure more efficient eaters.
Buddies
"
Can you imagine how much a goat can grow?
Can you imagine how fast a goat can drink?
Can you imagine these two are just buddies as they run to anyone walking around the farm.
ONe "Hmmmm Hmmm"pat me.
while the other one "barr barr "me, pat me.
Legendario & Jarrah.
Both are Elyse's and Josh's, and wow does Josh love being a dad.
He loves the farm so much, and always willing to help us, i am so appreciative, that he can give Rob a hand from time to time, and he also makes ELyse so happy.
Thanks Josh
September 11th

My heart goes out to those that have been affected by the September 11th.
I just wish there will be one day world peace.
I hope that people who wish bad on others will just learn to accept others.
I still cannot believe to this day, that it at all be possible to even think of such an act.
to use innocent people as a bomb, and to think about flying into buildings, and then to see them just incinerate as they towers just crumbled.
I hope this never happens again.
Thank you for those bravve enough to risk their lives to help others.
